View of Eiffel. There are all sorts of road side sellers and pick pockets around. So be really careful and keep your valuables safe. Do not keep anything in outer pockets of your bags. On a good note, the walk along the canal is a nice experience.

Paris, France

It’s one of the most popular tourist destinations not only in Europe but across the whole world. Millions visit Paris every year. A good number is from India and China.
Paris is the capital city of France which is also very well known for Arts and fashion. Paris is filled with landmarks, museums and attractions of all sorts and shapes and size and age, food and people.
Below are some of the most popular destinations within Paris
1. Eiffel Tower
2. Champs de Mars
3. Louvre Museum
4. Notre Dame
5. Arc de Triomphe
6. Paris Opera House
7. Champs Elysées Étoile
8. Grand Palais
9. Trocadéro
10. Disneyland
Eiffel tower and Louvre Museum are probably the most well-known spots at least in my view.

There are also a few negative sides to Paris when you are in Paris for a visit.
1. This is not a small place. City is very large and hugely crowded in good seasons.
2. Nothing is cheap. All sorts of pricey touristy things are around to make you spend money.
3. Paris is also a city where lots of criminals make their life. Pick pockets are very common.
4. Due to recent terror problems, security is on higher side, making some problems for easy moving around city.
That apart, Paris in my opinion, is still one of the must-see places. It’s also a good idea to combine with Amsterdam. Paris to Amsterdam takes just 3 hours in high speed trains or around 6 hours by road.
Some tips for those who are visiting:
In my opinion, one of the best options to explore and feel Paris is to take a walking tour. The walking tour is a bit intense and takes a few hours, but is free and you will have a great feel of achievement and satisfaction. Personally I am a big fan of Sandeman free tours [Just google it]. They operate in most of the European cities free of cost [But please tip them at the end of the tour, with your choice of amount].
Try to plan your trips at least a few months in advance and make bookings as earlier as possible. Nothing is cheap in this place.
Do not try renting a car etc. It’s next to impossible to manage a car and parking. Metro system in Paris is very efficient and is relatively cheap. The benefit does not end there, most of the major attractions are connected by Metro trains.
Book all possible tickets on-line. Otherwise it’s quite possible that you end up spending 1-2 hours for every monument by standing in queue for entry tickets.
Before spending your hard earned money, do a good research on weather, costs, travel plan etc. Lots of tour operators [especially Indians] just cheat people by taking them to places and stopping for short stops thus not giving a proper chance to enjoy the place.
